My name is Janice Bushong, I am a Licensed Professional counselor in the state of Missouri. I have a history of working in substance abuse, individual therapy, group therapy and couple's therapy. Types of clients I most typically work with are substance abuse, anxiety disorder, depression, anger management and bipolar disorder. I very much enjoy working with the addictive personality group of clients,
My most common approach to therapy is client centered approach and cognitive behavioral therapy. My theories are supporting the client in making their own choices and helping them identify the pros and cons of the choices.
I try to create a relaxed environment for the client asking them what they want to work on, I support my client in leading the session as the session is about them. I encourage client to focus on the here and now letting go of the past and moving forward with their lives to reach their goals.
