I have been practicing psychotherapy for over 28 years. My experience allows me to work in deeper ways that help my clients to make meaningful and often dramatic changes in the way that they feel about themselves. These internal changes often lead to exciting and fulfilling external changes (i.e. relationships, increased meaningfulness in one's life, aliveness). When clients have feelings of depression, anxiety, stress, overwhelm, or lack of connection - I work with them in ways that help them to uncover and heal the parts of themselves that may have them stuck. My clients often report that our work is unlike previous therapy.
I have found that the best way to achieve lasting and meaningful changes is to work in a manner which allows clients to access the aspects of themselves that are actually causing their problems. For example, with Depression we need to work with the part that wants to help the client avoid stressful events by shutting them down with depressive feelings.
My clients say that my wealth of experience, warmth, and wisdom allows them to see parts of themselves that were perhaps hidden before. We can then utilize powerful therapy techniques that allow for my clients to be more fully themselves, alive, joyful, freed up, and connected to their worlds.
