Welcome. I am Dr. Nikita Tate-Casanova, Ph.D. and a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) working with individuals, couples, and families across the lifespan. I am committed to caring for the whole individual and family including spiritual, emotional, and physical health in ways that are suited to each individual. I work with clients struggling with past and present trauma, anxiety, depression, spiritual concerns, couple conflict, mood disorders, cultural and ethnic issues, blended family issues, grief and end-of-life issues, phobias, and OCD.
I engage in group, individual, couple, nuclear families, and multigenerational family therapy. I typically work with clients aged 15 to 99. Other sessions have the therapist leading, teaching, and facilitating growth for/with the clients. The focus revolves around what the client needs/requests.
My approach to therapy is tailored to each client. I use EMDR, CBT, CPT, trauma-focused approaches, brief therapy, communication theories, structural family therapy, EFT, Gottman, and other theories and therapeutic approaches to assist clients in managing challenges.
