Most of our relationship patterns develop as adaptations to early attachment dynamics and trauma.
I'm a Somatic Psychotherapist for people who want more nourishing relationships. I help unwind trauma and reweave the patterns that limit. I offer a gentle, collaborative approach to heal the deep hurts that hold you back. Everyone has adapted to our life circumstances as best we can. The patterns we learn are rooted in our early relationships and in our body. These patterns precede words and thought. Together, I help you attune to, unwind, and reweave these patterns. In each session, I offer simple and effective practices to support your growth. My goal is to help you cultivate more resilience, ease, and wholeness in your life.

Please Note: The only type of OHP that I am able to take is CareOregon. If you are struggling with the impacts of trauma, abuse, or loss (no matter how far in the past), there is hope. Using a trauma-informed, client-centered, and strengths-based approach to counseling, we will create a safe space for collaborative work and healing. We can also use mindfulness, somatic, and creative therapies if you feel drawn to that kind of work. I have particular experience working with people who have been impacted by sexual trauma; PTSD that feels out of control; family/relationship issues; attachment wounding; and significant loss.

The therapeutic relationship is vital and I work to create a warm, collaborative space.
If you need support with the many challenges life can bring, I would love to help you find more ease, joy, and acceptance. As an adult child of a person with Substance Use Disorder, I know how painful it can be to love someone struggling with addiction. I have experience working in residential SUD treatment as well as working with their loved ones. I have a passion for recovery and I seek to connect with others who have been impacted by addiction. Beyond the scope of addiction, my clinical interests include family systems, relational issues, and trauma, among others. I work with adult individuals, couples, and families.

Hello, I enjoy working with individuals, couples and families I specialize in treating anxiety and depression. I have experience working with LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities. I also enjoy working with teenage and younger clients. I see many people who are going through life transitions. When one is going through grief and loss, education challenges, relationship difficulties, a new family member, pain or illness, it can be particularly difficult to cope and particularly beneficial to be in therapy to work through these issues with an unbiased ear. I also specialize in working with individuals who have struggles with chronic pain.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
