Historically, I have an educational background in "person in situation" outlook. I'm a practicing psychotherapist. I believe in a collaboration process aimed at relieving emotional disturbances and suffering in our lives.I center on management and balance. Reduction or elimination of symptoms is a primary goal. Emphasis is placed on care of self leading to a contented life.
I have training in a cognitive behavioral approach. Basically, I look at how thoughts influence feelings, behavior. Also, beliefs about oneself and the world are part of the treatment process.Philosophically, I lean toward ancient and Eastern thought with practical application within Western culture. Also, I’m a student of existentialism ( human existence)
Collaboration is a key ingredient in my treatment model. I view active participation as essential ingredient in treatment.
