I can be there for you when it seems like the darkest, most difficult time in life. Many of my clients have told me that I am mothering and nurturing as a therapist. I approach therapy from a caring and compassionate perspective, more so after I became a mother of three children. Together we can use DBT techniques to help you reconnect with the things that are important to you and help you get back to being the person you want to be with the life you want to live.

I've been practicing DBT for 10 years with people of varying backgrounds and needs. My specialized training and expertise is in treating psychosis and schizophrenia. I use CBT for psychosis and DBT to help clients ground themselves in the reality of the moment, connect with the wisdom of their emotions, and move forward in life effectively.

I believe that you are doing the best you can AND you can learn how to do better! Mental illnesses and diagnoses are labels that can be helpful to professionals and they could never define or convey the whole value of a person. I'm here to help you build on your strengths and values so you can live as the whole person you are!

This is a virtual group offered to adults seeking Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. The skills provided by DBT are provided once per week over the course of about 6 months. You will learn skills to improve mindful awareness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. It is highly recommended that you participate in weekly individual therapy while participating in this group.

DBT-Parents of Adults with Emotional Dysregulation

This is an in-person group offered to parents of adults who have difficulty regulating emotions. This may apply to adult children who have diagnoses of psychosis-spectrum disorders, Borderline Personality Disorder, or neurodivergence. The DBT skills groups are provided once per week over the course of about 6 months. You will learn skills to improve mindful awareness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness in the context of parenting or caring for adults who have difficulty regulating emotions.
