Origins Counseling provides lifesaving outpatient care and specialized therapies to help people from all walks of life find freedom from mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders. Origins Counseling offers treatment for men, women, and families. Recovery is a process, and our outpatient services are uniquely designed to guide each person along the path to wellness. We offer in-network Substance Use Disorder Intensive Outpatient Programs and a Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). Origins’ compassionate therapists and counselors help identify and treat a wide range of substance use and mental health disorders, including depression, borderline personality disorder (BPD), anxiety, mood disorders, bipolar disorders, trauma and post-traumatic stress disorders (PTSD), adjustment disorders, grief and loss, obsessive-compulsive disorders, process addictions, and more. Origins Counseling uses evidence-based therapies and interventions, and we develop personalized treatment plans for each person seeking wellness. Mental Health IOP, Evening IOP & Women's IOP
Our Mental Health IOP offers a sophisticated in-network treatment option for individuals with mental health concerns who want to amplify their healing process. Our dedicated IOP therapists and counselors are here to guide you every step of the way. We also offer an evening IOP for adults with substance use disorders in a safe environment that supports recovery for the entire family system. We provide each individual with a tailored healing plan which includes group and individual therapy, support for co-occurring disorders and trauma, and an engaging discovery of recovery principles. Rather than just treating symptoms, our integrated approach to treatment assists the whole person in the healing process—mind, body, and spirit. Our Women’s IOP for substance use is exclusively built for women and focuses not only on mental health challenges but also on all aspects of wellness. Origins' Free Virtual Family Support Group
The Origins' Free Family Support Group is held virtually through Origins Counseling Dallas, every Wednesday night from 6PM - 7PM. The Family Support Group is facilitated by Clinical Director, Shea Barakatt, LCSW, LCDC and offers support to the family members of those suffering from substance use and mental health disorders. Women in Recovery Process Group
As women navigate sobriety, they can struggle to find balance with recovery, life, careers, children, relationships, and mental health symptoms. Sometimes, we need more than a recovery fellowship–we need real clinical tools to help our recovery journey. This inviting process group will cover topics such as codependency, depression, anxiety, anger, guilt, and shame. Our Clinical Director, Shea Barakatt, will leverage CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, peer support, accountability, and feedback. Join your peers in a safe, open space with other women.
