Sunstone Therapies is the Washington metropolitan area’s only center for psychedelic-assisted therapy research and treatment. We offer clinical studies with experienced therapists utilizing diverse molecules including psilocybin, LSD, MDMA, and 5-MeO- DMT. Conditions treated are major depression disorder, treatment resistant depression, depression in people with cancer, post-traumatic stress disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and others. In addition to our patient-centric services, Sunstone also offers training opportunities for therapists interested in psychedelic-assisted therapy. Typical clinical studies are free to most participants. While we are located in Rockville, MD, we welcome patients from across the country.
Current Sunstone Studies include: (1) Psilocybin for Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) for patients with MDD and 1 failed prior treatment for the current episode; (2) MDMA for Adjustment Disorder (AD) in a patient with cancer and a significant other; (3) Psilocybin for patients with cancer and Major Depressive Disorder (MDD); Psilocybin for Palliative Care (Psilocybin therapy to treat demoralization of adults near end of life); and (4) Intranasal BPL-003 for Treatment Resistant Depression, a Quadruple Masked, Dose-Finding Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of Intranasal BPL-003 in Patients with Treatment-Resistant Depression.
