You do not have to wait until you are in crisis before you reach out to a counsellor. One thing in life that is certain is change and facing challenges. Just navigating normal life transitions can be stressful and overwhelming. We are made to be in relationship with one another and when you are going through a difficulty there can be such power and healing in being able to express to someone in confidence what you are experiencing on a physical, emotional, mental and social level. We all need that space where we feel safe, we are able to share in confidence and there is no judgment.
As a Registered Counsellor I seek to walk alongside individuals as they navigate life's trials and tribulations, striving to tap into their innate ability to persevere and overcome any challenges they may be facing. I also have experience counselling survivors of sexual trauma/rape. I work with adults & adolescents.
If you have had counselling before and perhaps it was not a positive experience for you, I would like to encourage you to not to give up on the process. We are not going to connect with and relate to everyone that we meet, and the same holds true for the counselling relationship. Please note that I do offer online counselling.
