Khloe Kardashian’s Good American Sold $1 Million Worth of Jeans on Its First Day

Is that even possible?

Good American, the denim brand co-founded by Khloe Kardashian and Emma Grede, is living some sort of American dream. On Tuesday, less than two months after it launched on its own website and at Nordstrom, the company reported that its sales reached $1 million on its first day out of the gate.

Which, yowza.

The label also noted that since it debuted, its $169 Good Waist jeans have sold out twice over, which is hardly a surprise. As the instant popularity of Kylie Jenner’s sold out lip kits have proven, a very simple equation for business success looks like this:

Kardashian + on-brand product = $$$

In this case, that would be jeans with “corset slimming elasticity” that claim to make your butt look really good. According to the reviews, they really do.

Good American has promised to start dropping new product every other week in January, with definite plans to introduce jean skirts, shorts, and jackets in the process. That said, Kardashian and Grede could clearly grow their line well beyond denim into a full collection. With that much room to grow, and such a vigorous early response from shoppers, this is one startup to watch.

Not that we have much choice.
