Trader Joe's Recalls Tomato Leaf Candles Due to Risk of Overheating and Cracking

If you’re a fan of Trader Joe’s scented candles, you’re going to want to check your stock.

It's hard to shop at Trader Joe's and not pick up their latest scented candle. So, if you have a few lying around your house, you'll want to ensure you aren't affected by this recent news.

The company is recalling its Tomato Leaf Scented Candle (SKU# 75090) as it may crack or break during use from the glass jar overheating, which can cause injury and/or damage.

What to Do If You Purchased a Recalled Candle

If you have one of these candles, the company says to stop using it immediately and discard it or bring it to your local Trader Joe’s for a full refund.

Feelings about the Tomato Leaf Scented Candle have been mixed since its release in April.

According to comments on a Trader Joe's Instagram post, some customers find it fresh, earthy, and summery. But others are not as impressed with this particular scent in comparison to the popular grocery store's other offerings like Eucalyptus, Rhubarb, or Salted Caramel + Pistachio. The rest of Trader Joe’s scented candles are not affected by the recall, so you can safely grab a different scent from your local store.
