This Couch Looks Just Like My Comfy $2,200 Version, but It’s 78% Cheaper

Before moving into my new apartment in January, I spent months laboring over furniture and decor decisions. I wanted to invest in quality pieces that would complete my first solo space and last for years (and homes) to come. I found my dream couch for the living room  in a $2,200 style from West Elm, and I’ve been thrilled with my purchase ever since. It’s so comfortable and receives constant compliments. 

However, when I recently stumbled across this Ktaxon sofa from Walmart—which looks nearly identical to my own couch—I was immediately struck with regret. The $480 style has the same cloud-like look and feel, but it’s 78 percent less. 

Ktaxon 86-Inch Sofa 

The couch comes in eight different color options, including a very similar cream shade as my own piece. The classic size is 86 inches long, just like my West Elm version, but there’s a larger 120-inch model too if you need extra seating, and it’s on sale for up to 40 percent off. 

The plush sofa also includes double layer cushioning, which makes it feel like you’re lounging on a cloud. The included footstool transforms the shape into a convenient L, which even my much more expensive model does not have. It provides plenty of room for you to stretch out and get comfortable thanks to its 33.5-inch seat width, and the armrests are cushioned with the same soft filling. Plus, even more comfort comes from the cozy chenille fabric.

The Ktaxon couch also has over 140 perfect reviews, many which call it  super comfortable. Like me, one customer said they get so many compliments on the furniture. Another person added that they’re obsessed with the design that looks amazing in their space, while a third person said it looks so much more expensive than it is. Fans of the couch also raved over the material that’s so soft and velvet-like. 

While the Ktaxon sofa is a steal at $480, Walmart has plenty of additional styles that look luxurious without the price tag of a more expensive version. This Mayview couch, for example, is on sale for 66 percent off and just $230, and customers say it’s excellent quality.
