Sandwiches that are cut horizontally are better than sandwiches cut diagonally

It seems the preferred agreed upon way to cut a sandwich is diagonally but I think a horizontal cut is much more appealing and satisfying.

It gives more of a full bite every time instead of starting with a small point and working into a fuller middle.

It also holds a sandwich together better if you have a lot of ingredients that may otherwise slip out from the points of a diagonally cut sandwich.

Hahaha that’s so funny, I feel the exact opposite! Like I can have TWO sandwiches instead of one when it’s cut in half!

Cutting is an extra step. I want food now.

Agree. I can't stand diagonal cut.

@OK-Project: Man I hear ya Bro. That diagonal $ħ!t just drives me up the phuqing WAHL!

Horizontal Cut forever ♾️ 👆!!!

Grew up with horizontal cut. Hubs was aghast first time I made him a sandwich. He came from a diagonal home. We had conversations! LOL

Symmetrical cuts are the only acceptable ones.

The diagonal cut is typically known as the fancy cut, whereas the straight vertical is called the standard cut.

Can also be quartered, either diagonally, or through the straight cut method. Quartered sandwiches can be served to children, or they can be presented more delicately and served to adults as finger sandwiches.

Pythagoras disagrees.

Idk, cut mine vertically

💯 it’s all about the 🍅 not falling out!

Do you eat triangle cuts from the edges?!

u/Right_Count avatar

Do you not??

u/Unusual_Football_863 avatar

No lol

u/Right_Count avatar

Do you just face-first into the middle? The long edge of the triangle?

If it’s a heavy sandwich yes. Stops things from going everywhere. If it’s light doesn’t matter.

Yeah, no. Aesthetically it's better looking. Practically, it's easier to eat because past bites don't get in the way (I also just don't want a full bite every single time). Also, no idea what you mean by the ingredients slipping out, I've never experienced any difference between cutting styles with this.

Sandwiches are square. Cutting them in half gives you the same amount of crust/interior no matter which way you do it.

You get more sandwich with the diag cut tho
