BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: TE1
ANALYSIS: Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft is the TE28 for the year, averaging 3.7 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. He has had a limited role on offense, playing behind fellow rookie tight end – Luke Musgrave. Unfortunately, the former Oregon State star hasn’t played since Week 11 because of a lacerated kidney, making Kraft the starter.
The rookie tight end has been productive lately. Over the past four weeks, Kraft is the TE7, averaging 9.5 fantasy points per game, totaling 7.8 or more in every contest. He has become a critical part of Green Bay’s passing attack, flashing a ton of talent with Musgrave sidelined.
This week, Kraft should have the starting role against the Chicago Bears. The NFC North division rivals have surrendered 11.1 fantasy points per game to tight ends, the fifth-most in the NFL.
Fantasy players with a Week 18 season-long league or DFS tournament lineup should consider Kraft a solid option. With several teams likely resting star players, the rookie tight end is a more appealing starting option than several big-name guys, including Travis Kelce and David Njoku, who could limit a limited role in Week 18.
