What to Know

Critics Consensus

The humor is less sharp and more warm-hearted this time around, and the characters are enjoyable to revisit.

Daniel M Not as good as the original, but still very enjoyable. The story was good and had some good additions of likable characters. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/02/23 Full Review Audience Member I really really like it Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/22/21 Full Review Audience Member The funniest sequel ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Heitor P Although it is even fun thanks to the charming cast, their messages are now less attractive, generating slightly unnecessary flashbacks and less funny jokes. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/30/23 Full Review Audience Member An attempt to capture the magic of the original that brings little new to the table. Imagine the second episode of a sitcom. Barbershop 2's plot is almost the exact same as the original. Minus the extra comedic relief characters. The original cast is here and is the most enjoyable part of the film. Yet, it's nothing groundbreaking. Kenan Thompson's character adds nothing to the film and felt a bit shooed in. Not to mention the subplots which add little to the film and the overarching story. Wouldn't recommend unless you LOVED the first one and insistent on seeing another. 2.5/5. A bit long and forgettable. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member It was funny good times and great fun. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews
