Mark Kermode Kermode and Mayo's Take (YouTube) The problem-solving is so brilliant, the songs are so great and Julie Andrews is so utterly, utterly perfect. Apr 2, 2024 Full Review Peter Bradshaw Guardian I have to admit that I find the real brilliance of the film is in the first act and things have wound down by the end, but what an entertainment sugar rush. Rated: 5/5 Mar 28, 2024 Full Review Joe Clay Times (UK) Shot entirely indoors in a Hollywood fantasy version of late Victorian London, Disney’s evergreen family classic is arguably Walt Disney’s finest moment Jan 22, 2024 Full Review Zita Short InSession Film It mixes over the top, fantastical humor with genuine observations about the importance of really listening to your children. Feb 2, 2023 Full Review Jason Shawhan Nashville Scene Mary Poppins is of a piece with the classic art-film archetype in which a mysterious stranger helps each member of a family through unlocking their emotional blockage, for better or worse... Sep 10, 2021 Full Review Ken Winters Winnipeg Free Press Mary Poppins is a product instead of the wholly enchanting children's art it so easily could have been. Yakking With F my dad saw this movie was his first movie in the cinemas in 1973 with his grandparents in toronto Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/23/24 Full Review Dale R I do believe that this is the best movie that Walt Disney ever made. It is unfortunate that P. L. Travers did not like this adaptation of her book, because I think a vast majority of the world did. What can I say about this movie that hasn’t already been said, if you haven’t seen it, stop reading this and go do it now!! Also it has Ed Wynn in it, so auto awesome points. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/07/24 Full Review Joseph C Julie andrews is absoluely perfect in every way as mary poppins. Dick van dyke is great as the chimney sweeper bert, The songs in this movie are so memorable that they get to your head. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/20/24 Full Review Idan Charles L Truly a classic Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 06/09/24 Full Review Eloise J The movie is pure magic and the writing is genius. The story is well developed and Julie Andrews is shall we say practically perfect in every way for the role and she nails it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/12/24 Full Review BoyofPlenty I don't think being a chimney sweep is THAT fun. It might be blasphemous but I think I prefer the story and songs in the broadway musical version. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/18/24 Full Review Read all reviews
