The picture is close to being a silly ghoulie classic -- the bloodier it gets, the funnier it is. This is the same blood that flows through the Hammer horror movies; it’s theatre-of-the-absurd blood, slapstick blood.

"Re-Animator" is a really enjoyable gore-fest full of zany, wicked imagery. The effects are for the most part very well done, the acting is on-point, and the story is engaging. Granted, some things are left unexplained, and the characters are rather cartoonish, but that does not hinder the enjoyment - in fact, it tends to become part of the charm. The amount and quality of grisly, gruesome gore is pretty impressive, and the occasional presence of fittingly morbid humour is the cherry on top.

Funny and gory. A smart and hugely memorable 80's horror comedy classic which deservedly made a cult star of Jeff Combs and gave the world Dr Herbert West. An absolute late night, B movie style, splatter fest cult classic. One of my all time favourite horror comedies.

I am 14 and dont like horror movies they are all to over the top but this looks really good I havnt watched it yet but I will give it a try this year but I do feel like this would definatly be appropriate for ages 13 and up!
