There ought to be a way to make a live-action film about giant shapeshifting robots that's either a) fun or b) awesome... It's blatantly evident that Bay can only just about manage b) long enough to provide the shots needed to cut into a trailer.

This is probably the best of the live-action TF movies, it's action-packed with a very good plot twist. This movie does suffer the same problem all TF movies suffer and that is it focuses way too much on humans. And also, when Optimus gets tangled in the wires is very annoying.

This movie is heavily underrated. Yes, there are typical Michael Bay tropes that make any normal person uncomfortable, but for every 1/10 moment, there are 15 10/10 moments around the corner. So cool to see characters like Shockwave and Sentinel Prime have a huge role in this movie, and while the ending may leave a bad taste in the mouths of many, it doesn't ruin the rest of the movie, for me at least. Go watch it or yourself. I'm going to buy a Shockwave action figure
