Widowed surgeon Tom has struggled to raise his two daughters alone following his wife's death a year ago. Things seem to be on the right track for the family, who live in a gated community, because they have close friends nearby and Tom is in the early stages of a new relationship. But the situation takes a turn for the worse when Jenny, Tom's oldest daughter, goes missing along with her boyfriend. Tom enlists girlfriend Sophie, a police detective, to help locate the teens, but her new partner is working her own agenda. As the investigation intensifies, Tom unearths dark secrets about the people closest to him in his affluent neighborhood. The drama series was created by mystery novelist Harlan Coben. Joe W Wow. This show is terrible. The acting is over the top, the writing has created silly characters. Another series that is just not necessary. Procedural with twists and turns and dead ends in a case that are fairly realistic. Watched in one evening. Would recommend. Somehow, all of the characters, antagonistics and protagonists alike, are very annoying. The characters are unlikeable, the suspense is NOT THERE, and somehow even the brits sound like they're faking it. An all-around waste of time- do not attempt to watch this. It's one of those murder mystery series that given the chance will have you wanting more. Like all the good ones gives you lots of clues but you don't know who did what or why until the last part.
