Richard Roeper Chicago Sun-Times What's so impressive about "The Wilds" is how creator Sarah Streicher and the deeply talented young cast members immerse us in this world so quickly and create an almost instant interest and empathy for these eight teenage girls. Rated: 3.5/4 Dec 11, 2020 Full Review Lucy Mangan Guardian If nothing else, as with Leah, it will pull you right out of any funk you're in. Rated: 3/5 Dec 11, 2020 Full Review Suzi Feay Financial Times The glib homilies and trite moral conclusions they offer up don't always sound like things battered survivors would say in such situations. Rated: 4/5 Dec 11, 2020 Full Review Maggie Lovitt Millennial Falcon Reviews The Wilds is a unique twist on a familiar trope. Rated: B+ Mar 27, 2023 Full Review Michael Cuby them. The Wilds uses Lost-like flashbacks to explore how their “before” lives — filled with problems like homophobia, peer pressure, parental strife, and slut-shaming — have shaped them into the women they are today. Joan H Just finished last night with my mouth hanging open! What the heck? What kind of stupid ending was that? Of course wanting you to watch Season 2. I may watch one or two episodes of the new season, but it they don't start making some feeble sense of the ridiculous project, I will turn it off for good. Spoilers ahead if you haven't watched S1 If you watched the follow up, Gretchen said something about the girls being there 50 days and the boys 34... YAY, the girls won.... how dumb, so you mean they stayed out there ANOTHER 20 some days after Rachel had her arm chewed off, and Nora was missing. Made no sense... And now there's a group of boys? No way do I want to watch them playing out the same scenario for weeks... I want to know what happens with the girls not a new group! How they faked the plane crash is another dumb plot hole....Gretchen's project is totally implausible. Didn't any of the parents what to talk to their children in all that time?? I hate stories that make little sense and this one falls into that category. Some of the plot lines were interesting, is the only reason why I actually finished the season, but I doubt if there are going to be any satisfying conclusions in the next season. Lastly didn't they find Nora's pink notebook? That would tell the girls the truth about what was happening, but I guess it was conveniently lost somewhere...another hole in the plot...ugh....enough said...off to find something better to watch. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/20/23 Full Review S H The overarching plot is, admittedly, unrealistic. But the characters are fully fleshed-out, fascinating, and sympathetic. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/03/23 Full Review Rhianna J It's good but it's not consistent. Not all the talent in this series is good and some of the episodes just weren't as good as the others so it began to feel like the season was dragging… and then it ended very suddenly without much closure. Despite this it's interesting, keeps you on your toes and definitely worth the watch. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/22/23 Full Review MARCELA M A Peace of art. great story and actresses Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/15/23 Full Review Marissa i want it back i miss it so fucking much Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review mike h This show was so unbearable I went out of my way to make this account to warn anyone that might get dragged into watching this snooze fest of bad writing and acting. Just watch lost or read lord of the flies or something. Watching Paint dry would have been more interesting any of the characters in this show.
