National Charity League Del Norte Chapter celebrated their year-end achievements at their annual spring Mother-Daughter Luncheon May 19 at Lomas Santa Fe Country Club. It was a year aptly themed, “Leading with Love” as President Jenny Erikson-Hart spoke about how much this year meant to her as president. “This year I felt showered with love by everyone who not only went above and beyond their roles, but their support for me throughout my pregnancy and the birth of my son was overwhelming,” Erikson-Hart said in a news release.
Liasons who oversee the Meals on Wheels volunteers were on-hand to live scan any mothers and daughters who were interested in participating in this program.
Erikson-Hart called the meeting to order and formally thanked everyone who served before introducing the 2024-2025 president, Dr. Preeti Sonni Mehta who introduced herself and announced the new members of the board.
Each class president presented a year-end review and highlighted some of the key moments their class shared together. They thanked their mothers for all their help throughout the year as well. A slideshow featured some of the big yearly events including the fashion show, class teas, father-daughter events, and senior recognition.
Mothers who served as Grade Level Advisors (GLAs) were thanked for the hard work they did to make sure their class Ticktockers (daughters) and Patronesses (moms) scheduled meetings, attended group activities and met all their requirements throughout the year.
Awards Chair Lori Eppich handed out the Mary Kollis Award. The award was created in honor of Mary Kollis, a patroness in the Class of 2007. She was a dedicated mom with a caring spirit. Each year a Patroness in the chapter who shows “congeniality & goodwill” is given this special award. This year, the award went to NCL President Jenny Erikson-Hart.
Finally, the class of 2027 hosted a raffle for their fall fashion show and some lucky winners went home with beach time baskets, Sephora gift baskets, a mother-daughter basket and a few other fun goodies.
