Introduction
Hi my name is Sophia. I'm here today to talk to you about Muhammad Ali and his childhood, family, education and jobs. I hope you enjoy my powerpoint !

Childhood
Muhammad Ali real name is Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. named after his father. Born January 17,1942 at 6:30pm in Louisville, Kentucky. His success began in 1954 when he was only 12 years old his bike got stolen while he was with some friends. He was so mad that he went up to a police officer (named Joe Martin) and said "Can I punch him out?" and Joe said "Before you punch anyone out you need lesson's". So Cassius aggered to his lesson's. Joe was Cassius boxing coach and showed him boxing and trained him to be a great boxer.

His Achievements Has A Teenager


While being a teenager spent all his time training he gave up mostly everything just to train. He practiced with rage and took it very seriously. His practice keep his mind off playing with his friends. Muhammad also was very serious with his diet. Even though he hated training but he still put up with it. After he became a famous boxer he said this quote "I hated every minute of training, but I said, "Don't quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion." - Muhammad Ali. His hard work soon paid off when he turned 18 he won these titles.......
2 National Golden Gloves titles 6 Kentucky Golden Gloves titles Amateur Athletic Union National title Light Heavyweight gold medal in 1960 at the Summer Olympics, Rome.

Family
Muhammad had a brother Rudolph "Rudy" Clay a.k.a Rahman Ali. A father who painted billboards and signs for a living his name was Cassius Marcellus Clay Sr. and his mother who was the housewife her name was Odessa Grady Clay. His brother his still alive his 68 years old. His mother and father have pass away. Muhammad is 71 (today)

Education
Muhammad finished high school at Louisville High. He wasn't the smartest student but he was very popular in school because of his obsession with the sport of boxing even at his young age. His reputation as a gifted young boxer appearing regularly in local boxing shows, That he was a sweet, charming and very likable person. His school principal, Mr. Atwood Wilson, was fond of him that when there was any sort of trouble among the students, he'd switch on the PA and say something like, "Stop the crap or I'll put Cassius Clay on you!" And when Clay's teachers refused to allow him to graduate, Wilson interfered and gave an speech saying that "One day, this kid, in a single fight, will get more than all you teachers earn in a year combined, and our claim to fame will be that we taught Cassius Clay." This discourse became known in school lore as the "Claim to Fame" speech.

Muhammad Ali has won 56 matches, drawn none, and lost only 5, making a total of 61 matches played Ali was part of many great matches. For example: Thriller in Manila or Rumble in the Jungle, both against wrestling great, Joe Frazier. Originally, Muhammad Alis name was Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. Muhammad Ali is nicknamed Cassius X.
