Project work is focused by an open-ended question that students explore or that capture the task they are completing.

Students see the need to gain knowledge, understand concepts, and apply skills in order to answer the Driving Question and create project products, beginning with an ENTRY EVENT that generates interest and curiosity.

ENCOURAGE VOICE AND CHOICE


Students are allowed to make some choices about the products to be created, how they work, and how they use their time, guided by the teacher and depending on age level and PBL experience.

INCORPORATE REVISION AND REFLECTION


The project includes processes for students to use feedback to consider additions and changes that lead to high-quality projects, and think about what and how they are learning.

Include in weeks 4-8 Why we should care question and during weeks 9-10 what do we want to accomplish, what impact to we want to have When added, the why should we care question would create a better understanding for the importance and purpose of the project There needs to be more choice, which could be implementing by allowing students to pick the order of the assignments. Also, voice and personal could incorporated through more whole group discussions. There needs to be more review and reflection about information other than creating a product and sharing it. Possibly incorporate discussing created projects, evaluating information in relation with previous knowledge, and sharing concerns.
