    for At-Risk Youth in the fiscal year 20 10 Commerce-Justice-Science appropriations bi ll.

    The funding would be used for academic mentors and tutors for public school students,
    seed money to support new mentoring programs, support to ex isiting mentoring
    partnerships, training and technical assistance to expand mentoring programs, and
    increased access to higher education and career opportunities for low-income students in
    North Carolina.
