please go through the bellow listed comparison for understanding the advantages of dual laminate PP + FRP tanks over

MSRL tanks.
Life 2 to 3 years. Life 15 to 20 years

Ageing of rubber lining happens resulting in to cracking, rigidity of rubber, brittleness which gives Polypropylene have no ageing effect. failure. During leakage of lining iron get dissolved and Polypropylene tank does not have iron tank. no iron liquid get contamination, M.S. tank get corroded. contamination, no corrosion. Ms rubber lined tank is heavy in weight. Polypropylene tank are lighter in weight and they are mobile.

MSRL tank is externally prone to corrosion as it is PP + FRP tank has no such problems as the resin used exposed to acidic atmosphere of acidic fumes in FRP is compatible with acid. No metallic parts in tank. coming out of tank Rubber has porosity. Rubber is soft material. Easily get damaged. Virginity of rubber is questionable. Polypropylene is solid and non porous material. Polypropylene is hard and rigid material. Very difficult to get damaged. Polypropylene can be easily identified and tested for virginity.

Surface preparation and clean Surface is crucial PP fabric backed sheet is used for highest degree of for adhesion. adhesion Joint blistering is common problem. Require full support of mild steel. Disbanding and airpocket is a regular problem. Sand blasting can not be compromised. De-bonding is commonly observed due to different coefficient of thermal expansion of rubber & MS It require regular maintenance There is not overlap joint. no blister. No MS stiffeners required There is no bonding, no air pocket in Polypropylene welding. Sand blasting not required. No problems of de-bonding It is maintenance free.
