    Information:
    On January 6, 2016 at 9:58 p.m. a Lenexa Police Officer was conducting an undercover
    surveillance on an on-going criminal investigation in the city of Lenexa. While
    conducting surveillance, a suspect vehicle left the location and the officer followed in his
    unmarked vehicle. The officer called out for assistance from police marked vehicles in
    order to stop the vehicle. The vehicle continued into Shawnee. While the officer was
    coordinating with marked vehicles, shots were from the suspect vehicle. They shot
    multiple rounds at the officer as they were driving. The officer was able to keep the
    suspect vehicle in sight until other officers arrived. Several police officers responded to
    assist and the suspect vehicle was disabled with a tire deflation device in the city of
    Shawnee.
    Two adult males were taken into custody. The suspects were transported to the
    Shawnee Police Department for interviews and processing. The Shawnee Police
    Department will handle this investigation and it is on-going.
    At 2:00am the Lenexa Police Department served a search warrant at the original
    address. No other suspects were found. Our investigation is also ongoing.
