PRACTICE

My proficiency in this category is Good. I have practiced at home,

completed my readings and learning activities and have also attended
labs at school in order to become competent with wound care. I actively
seek out information from my instructors and coworkers and I enjoy
learning new information and methods related to wound care and
dressings whenever I can.

I am excited to apply my knowledge in the clinical setting. I believe

wounds are, unfortunately, a common care in both health care and home
care settings; therefore, it is a valuable skill to master as a Licensed
Practical Nurse. Although I feel confident with my skills, I am looking
forward to having on-site experience to further my practice and gain
more first-hand familiarity and understanding of advanced wound care.
With this practice, I know I can, and am excited to show, that I can
improve my proficiency to Excellent in this area.
