1. Opening (5 minutes)
a. Leader will go over purpose of unit
b. Leader will explain Lesson 1 activities
c. Give students their career journals
(this could also be made from a notebook, piece of paper, Word doc.,
Prezi, or anything that works for class and will be saved)
2. Pre-evaluation (5 minutes)
a. Leader will administer evaluations
b. Leader will collect evaluations in order to turn them in to counselor
3. Career Inventory (15 minutes)
a. 123test.com
b. Take Career Test
4. Closing (15 minutes)
a. Leader will help students evaluate test results and discuss career
ideas
b. Leader will ask start-up questions such as,
Do you think your results are accurate
Can you think of any other careers that might fit your results
Do you like the career options given to you; why or why not?
c. Instruct students to choose their top 3 careers from the list and save
them in their career journals.
