Class Organisation Resources/Equipment

(Content & KTP)

(Position of teacher/students, setup/working area/grids for class, transitions)

(Individual task structure,

differentiation)

9:00
In groups of 5, have
4 students on the
corners of the grid,
and 1 defender in
the middle.
For 1 minute, the
students on the
outside will pass the
ball (with the correct
KTPs learned in
previous week)
trying to avoid the
defender

Ensure you are

ready to
receive/pass the ball
Show you are ready
by having hands up
prepared
Movers are allowed
to move around the
grid, but have to
stay on the line of
the grid.
Pass the ball INTO
SPACE for the
receiver to run onto.

Defender is trying to
intercept the ball.
30seconds rest at
the end of the
minute, then rotate
so 1 student has
gone in the middle
within the drill.
.

Explain next drill to the students

Skill 1: 3s Running

In groups
of 3, run
with the
ball down
the field.
The ball
will be
passed
across
the field
(Left
Mid
Right)
Then
coming
back the
other
way, the
ball will
travel
back in
the
opposite
direction
(Right
Mid
Left)
This must
be done
by the
time you
reach the
end of
the grid.

It is important to
remind the students
that the ball needs
to travel backwards
for the pass to be
legal.
Encourage the
surge from the
player with the ball
before sending it
backwards to the
receiver.

Once the
students reach
the other end of
the grid, stop,
and wait for the
rest of the group
to make it back
before starting
the drill again.

Lesson Closure: (Review lesson objectives with students)

Review the lesson objectives with the students and decide whether or not they were met. How they
were/how they could be next lesson.

Transition: (What needs to happen prior to the next lesson?)

Remember KTPs and drills done throughout the session.
Remember uniform and water bottles for next lesson.

HPE2203 Jan 2016

Assessment: (Were the lesson objectives met? How will these be judged?)
-

Global check observation would be the type of assessment done throughout the lesson.

In order for this to be achieved teacher must walk around and view every student.
