    Kshama, daya, tap, tyaag, manobal Mercy, resolve, tact, tolerance


    Sabka liya sahara You've tried everything and some
    Par nar vyagh Suyodhan tumse But o my king of men
    Kaho kahan kab haara? When did Suyodhan succumb?

    Kshamasheel ho rrpu-saksham The more forgiving you were


    Tum huye vineet jitna hi In your humane compassion
    Dusht Kauravon ne tumko The more these rogue Kauravas
    Kaayar samjha utna hi Pegged you as cowardly ashen

    Atyachar sahan karne ka This is the consequence


    Kufal yahi hota hai Of tolerating atrocities
    Paurush ka aatank manuj The awe of machismo is lost
    Komal hokar khota hai When one's gentle n kindly

    Kshama shobhti us bhujang ko Forgiveness is becoming of


    Jiske paas garal hai The serpent that's got venom
    Uska kya jo dantheen None cares for the toothless,
    Vishrahit vineet saral hai Poisonless, kind, gentle one

    Teen divas tak panth mangte For three days Lord Ram kept
    Raghupati sindhu kinare Asking the ocean for a passage
    Baithey padhtey rahey chhand Sitting there he petitioned
    Anunay ke pyaare pyaare Using the sweetest words to engage

    Uttar mein jab ek naad bhi When in response there was


    Utha nahi saagar se Not a whisper from the sea
    Uthi adheer dhadhak paurush ki A raging fire of endeavor
    Aag raam ke shar se Rose from Ram's body

    Sindhu deh dhar trahi-trahi The ocean took human-form


    Karta aa gira sharan mein 'N supplicated to Ram
    Charan pooj daasta grrhan ki Touched his feet, was subservient
    Bandha moodh bandhan mein A slave he had become

    Sach poochho to shar mein hi Truth be told, it's in the quiver


    Basti hai deepti vinay ki That lies the gleam of modesty
    Sandhivachan sampoojya usika Only his peace-talk is reputable
    Jisme shakti vijay ki Who is capable of victory

    Sahansheelta, kshama, daya ko Tolerance, forgiveness and clemency


    Tabhi poojta jag hai Are respected by the world
    Bal ka darp chamakta uskey Only when the glow of strength
    Peechhey jab jagmag hai From behind it is unfurled

    विषरहित विनीत सरल है

    तीन दिवस तक पंथ मांगते


    रघुपति सिंधु किनारे
    बैठे पढते रहे छन्द
    अनुनय के प्यारे प्यारे

    उत्तर में जब एक नाद भी


    उठा नही सागर से
    उठी अधीर धधक पौरुष की
    आग राम के शर से

    सिंधु दे ह धर त्राहि-त्राहि
    करता आ गिरा शरण में
    चरण पूज दासता गह
    ृ ण की
    बंधा मूढ़ बन्धन में
    सच पूछो तो शर में ही
    बसती है दीप्ति विनय की
    संधिवचन सम्पूज्य उसीका
    जिसमे शक्ति विजय की

    सहनशीलता, क्षमा, दया को


    तभी पज
    ू ता जग है
    बल का दर्प चमकता उसके
    पीछे जब जगमग है
