July 12, 2011 Media Release Re: Auburn Police Seek Publics Assistance Locating Two Run-Away Females

On June 26, 2011 at approximately 10:00 pm the Auburn Police Department was dispatched to The Cayuga Home for Children regarding two females that had left the facility without permission. The females, 14 year old Crystal Santos and 16 year old Emily Diamond were last seen together in a common living area watching television. When a Cayuga Home employee checked on the girls about ten minutes later it was discovered that the girls had walked out of the facility. The girls may still be together and were possibly picked up by an unknown third party and taken back to the Rochester, NY area. Diamond has ties in Seneca Falls and Rochester and Santos, Rochester, NY. The girls are described as follows: Emily Diamond is a 16 year old white female with brown shoulder length hair, bangs cut just above her eyes with scars on both of her arms. She has blue eyes and is approximately 53 tall and weighs about 151 lbs. Emily was last seen wearing a red shirt and red pajama bottoms. Crystal Santos is a 14 year old Hispanic female with long black hair and brown eyes. She is apprxomately 52 tall weighing about 126lbs. Santos was last seen wearing a Tinker Bell shirt and pajama bottoms with her hair in a ponytail. The Auburn Police Department has been working with the New York State Department of Criminal Justic Services Missing and Exploited Children Clearinghouse as well as the Rochester Police Department, Monroe County Probation Department, Cayuga Home for Children and the family members of both girls to determine their current whereabouts. The Auburn Police Department requests anyone with knowledge of the girls whereabouts or has seen either, to please contact your local 911 center and report the location of the sighting.
