It is the second movement from Bachs Orchestral Suite

No.3.
The original was written between the years 1717 and 1723. It was the very first work by Bach to be recorded. The title comes from violinist August Wilhelmjs late 19th century arrangement of the piece for violin and

piano.

Gigue
The Third Suite closes with a vigorous Gigue, a

dance that swings along in customary triplesounding meter (in this case 6/8). The gigue is scored for the same instrumentation as the Ouverture.
