Problems and prospects of small and Medium Enterprises with reference cotton ginning mills of Guntur.

Introduction: The micro and small enterprises (MSEs) in India have been accepted as the engine of economic growth and for promoting equitable development. The major advantage of the sector is its employment potential at low capital cost. The labor intensity of the MSE sector is much higher than that of the large enterprises. The MSEs constitute over 90% of total enterprises in most of the economies and are credited with generating the highest rates of employment growth and account for a major share of industrial production and exports. In India too, the MSEs play a pivotal role in the overall industrial economy of the country. In recent years the MSE sector has consistently registered higher growth rate compared to the overall industrial sector. With its ability and dynamism, the sector has shown admirable innovativeness and adaptability to survive the recent economic downturn and recession. Objectives 1. To know the problems of ginning mills. 2. To provide solution for ginning mill problems. Methodology: Interview Survey and Observation Expected Results: To prepare appropriate solutions to small scale and ginning firms. Area: Guntur city

The Vignan University has also carried out different activities of social work in the surrounding villages. Objective To identify Basic needs of Surrounding People. To know the existing Extension Activities. To know the Expected extension activities.
