In 2012 a Local Food award was secured and the Eastfeast Local Food for Thought in Waveney began. There are six growing project sites and a host of related links encouraging local food production, links with local businesses, improved health and Waveney well being .

Profiles
Mary has been with Eastfeast since it began in 2005, working with schools and local communities on projects developing their grounds and allotments. A great believer in getting out there and getting your hands dirty and having fun and growing lots of food for feasting. She is also a forest school practitioner and living willow structure builder!
Recipe
Sam Woor came 8th in the Junior Masterchef TV programme 2010. He is studying GCSEs and writes regularly for local newspaper food columns as well as taking part in Food Festival events. . He visited The Warren School to demonstrate and share with students his food knowledge and cooking skills and made a fantastic feast of Fish Chowder, Soda bread rolls and Apple and Sausage rolls.
