The Fishman Classic 4T system installed on this fine instrument offers high-quality sound, versatile tone shaping and a convenient digital tuner. The preamps four-band equalizer lets you dial in acoustic tone to match your playing style.

Strummer A good setting for strumming chords.

Plug In and Play!

Plug a standard 1/4 inch instrument cable from the endpin jack to a stage amp, a direct box or an unbalanced input on a mixer. When you plug in, the Classic 4T switches on. To conserve the battery, unplug the instrument when you finish playing.

Note: Turn down the volume on the amp or mixer before you plug in, to protect your speakers (and your ears) from loud pops.

Features
TUNER Depress the TUNER button to turn the circuit on and off. When the tuner is on, the output is muted. For your convenience you may turn on the tuner when the instrument is unplugged.

Cut Through the Mix When you need to be heard through a loud band.

Note: The tuner devours battery power, so remember turn it off when you finish tuning.

Sample EQ Settings
Here are a few suggested settings for the Classic 4T:

Flashes when the note is below pitch Lights when the note is in tune Flashes when the note is above pitch

Fingerstyle This will add fullness to the bass and definition to the treble.

Lights up when the note is raised 1/2 step

Scooped Mid This is the popular smiley EQ tone that emphasizes extreme bass and treble.

BATT (Battery Indicator) When you plug in the guitar the BATT indicator will flash momentarily. The flash tells you power is on. When the BATT indicator stays on, it is time to change the battery. See Battery Replacement on Page 4. VOLUME For the cleanest signal, set the VOLUME slider as high as possible, without causing distortion to your amp or mixer. BASS Boost here to add depth and weight to the sound of the guitar.

MIDDLE Move the MIDDLE slightly below the center detent to add roundness to the bass and clarity to the treble. Put the MIDDLE slider all the way down for a smooth scooped out tone at high volume levels. Raise the MIDDLE slider slightly above the center detent to add midrange bite to the sound. TREBLE A boost here will help to cut through the mix. Conversely, cutting TREBLE will mellow and subdue your amplified tone. BRILLIANCE This slider can add shimmer and sparkle to your sound. It zeros in on extra crispy high frequency tones, the realm of harmonics and acoustic string sound. Lower the BRILLIANCE slider to reduce finger noise and fret buzz.

Install a 9V alkaline battery so that the plus and minus terminals line up with the corresponding polarity marks on the compartment. You can expect 300 hours of continuous use from a single battery (estimated battery life decreases when tuner is on). To conserve the battery, unplug the guitar and turn off the tuner when the Classic 4T is not in use.

Battery Replacement
When the preamp is on and the BATT indicator stays lit, it is time to replace the battery. Pinch the two tabs at the top and bottom of the preamp and pull the housing out to reveal the battery compartment.
