THANK YOU SITE COUNCIL:
Site Council is a group of teachers, parents, and students who volunteer their time to support GEHS, USD 231, and most importantly our students. This group spends their time at meetings learning more about our high school, providing insight and guidance, and asking questions about our organization. If you remember it was our Site Council who led the way on creating a student and parent survey inquiring about various aspects of our high school. This accumulation of data over a 2year time period was helpful. Three years ago our Site Council worked with the City of Gardner regarding 2 intersections of concern - Madison & Poplar and Waverly & 175th. DONATE BLOOD:
Due to recent snow events the Community Blood Center needs donations. The blood supply is very low due to blood drives that were cancelled at the end of February. Please help saves lives in the metro area by donating blood March 28 here at GEHS. You must be 16-years-old and weigh at least 115 pounds. If you are 16, you must turn in a signed permission slip. Sign-up on your English teachers door.

SENIOR CLASS SPONSORING:

The annual GEHS Dodge Ball Tournament will be held on Saturday, April 6 at 9:00 a.m. in the gym. Anyone and everyone is welcome to form a team of 6 players. Four
out of the 6 players need to be GEHS students. Faculty members are welcome to join a student team. The cost is $5.00 per person/ $30.00 a team. Sign-up on the door of Dr. Blairs room #418. Deadline to sign-up and pay is March 29.
SENIOR TRIBUTE VIDEO.

Seniors, it is time to s t a r t submitt i n g your photos for the senior tribute video for 2013. You will need a baby picture, a photo from sometime in your middle years and one from your senior year. Please send these as jpeg file labeled with your name to Mrs. T h o e l k e a t [email protected] or bring in the photos to room 300 and they will be scanned and returned to you. Photos for scanning should be in an envelope with your name on the outside and each photo labeled clearly with your name to insure their safe return. GEHS Artists-we want your help designing a Buckle Up themed sign that will be posted in our school parking lot and possibly in all school district Parking lots. Pick up contest guidelines from Mrs. Heller in the Counseling office. Designs are due by TODAY to Mrs. Heller.

2013 TRAILBLAZER TRACK AND FIELD MULCH FUND RAISER:

Your support for the 2013 GEHS Track & Field team is greatly appreciated! In the last 5 years, the Blazer Track and Field teams have finished in the top three at every state championship meet. They have produced over 25 state champions and set three state meet records. In order to raise funds, the Trailblazer Track & Field team will once again be offering cypress, cedar, red and brown stained mulch and

These two cubic feet bags are priced as follows and will be available for pick up Saturday April 13th between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the GEHS parking lot. If you would prefer, for a $5 fee, your order can be delivered to any Gardner or Edgerton address. *And new for this year, for $15 you can not only have your mulch delivered to anywhere in Gardner or
Edgerton, our tricksters will spread it in your landscaping for you! (Tools/ shovels/rakes not included, just athletes to do the dirty work!)
