BACKGROUND OF Lanka IOC PLC Lanka IOC PLC is an overseas venture of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.

, India which is a Fortune 500 company with a ranking of 98th on the Fortune Global 500 listing (2011). Lanka IOC PLC is a public liability company listed in the Colombo Stock Exchange with a turnover of SL Rs.51.74 billion for the year 2010-11. Lanka IOC PLC has been ranked as No.1 amongst corporate in Sri Lanka by LMD (Lanka Monthly Digest a business magazine) for 3 consecutive years. LIOC holds one third share in Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminals Ltd, the Common User Facility in Sri Lanka for storage and distribution of petroleum products. LIOC is making phased investments to provide world-class quality petroleum products and services to delight the Sri Lankan customers. With IndianOils vast experience in downstream petroleum operations, LIOC is in the process of creating a healthy and competitive petroleum industry in Sri Lanka for the larger benefit of the island nation. The China Bay Tank farm, of World War II vintage, is of historic and strategic significance, being the largest tank farm located between the Middle East and Singapore. The tank farm connects to the Trincomalee harbour, which is the 5th largest all-weather, non-tidal natural harbour in the world, with a 56 km shoreline, making this tank farm most effective for fuel receipt, storage and supply. The tank farm, formerly operated by CPC (Ceylon Petroleum Cooperation), has a total of 99 tanks, each with a capacity of 12,000 kilolitres. Currently, only 15 of these tanks are operational. LIOC has invested significantly in developing the tankage and have drawn ambitious plans to make Trincomalee an important industrial site. Lanka IOC PLC provided six varieties of petroleum products in Sri Lanka respectively Lanka Auto Diesel (LAD), Lanka Petrol 90 Octane (LP90), Lanka Super Diesel (LSD), Xtra Premium 91 (XP91), Xtra Premium 95 (XP95) and Xtra Mile (XM). Out of six XP91, XP95 and XM are branded fuels supply by Lanka IOC PLC.

LUBRICANT BUSINESS In addition Lanka IOC PLC involves lubricants manufacturing and sales in Sri Lanka. Over the decades, SERVO has built a clientele that stretches across the automobile, manufacturing and marine sectors in a number of countries across the world and has emerged as the Global Indian Brand in the Lubricant business. Customers of the SERVO range of lubricants swear by a brand that not only delivers as well as it promises but also continues to get better with time. SERVO is owned by Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOC), India's largest commercial enterprise with a turnover of US$ 59.22 Billion and the Global Fortune 500 Company ranked 116th by revenue in the year 2008. Despite the entry of a plethora of multinational lubricant brands in India, SERVO has held on to its number one position in the market. IOC is a major supplier to auto original equipment manufacturers and all the major transport undertakings and fleet operators in India. Servo provides more than 400 lubricants and greases to the industrial segment. The marine sector, too, has a broad range of products to choose from. gear oils, turbine oils, compressor oils and stern tube oils. Servo is also meeting the lubricant requirements of the Indian and Sri Lankan defense forces. Arrangements are being made for making SERVO marine grades available on duty free basis to the ships calling on Colombo and other Sri Lanka ports. 2T Supreme, one of the largest selling 2T oils in the world is new generation two-stroke engine oil recommended for two-stroke engines in motorbikes, scooters, scooterettes, mopeds and outboard engines. SERVO 4T is a new generation four-stroke engine oil specially recommended for four-stroke engines in motorbikes and scooters. SERVO Kool Plus, a triple action long life radiator coolant for optimum performance of engine radiators, is prepared from select materials to meet the highest Japanese standard. It is free from amines, borates, nitrates and silicates. SERVO Kool Plus is recommended for passenger cars, LCVs, HCVs and heavy earth moving equipment. In its quest to position SERVO as the leader of the Lubricant industry in Sri Lanka, Lanka IOC will continue to build the distribution network and maximize the output of Trincomalee plant for ensuring better reach, broader customer base and continued availability. It will explore new technologies, collaborate and develop symbiotic relationships, identify emerging and export markets besides building on the brand equity, product quality and technical service. BUNKERING BUSINESS Lanka IOC caters to bunker fuel requirements of the local and foreign flags vessels in various ports of Sri Lanka viz., Colombo, Galle and Trincomalee. World class Marine grade Lubricants are also marketed to meet the needs of various types of vessels. Lanka IOC has entered into the bunkering fuels business recently in a large way and has made a significant stride in this sector. Supplies are undertaken through nominations received from local shipping agents, shipping agents from overseas, bunker brokers and through direct nominations.
