ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN A. PRE IMPLEMENTATION

The officer-in-charge, Ms Judy P. Aralar, and Mr Berlin F. Celoza, Brigada Eskwela Coordinator and SSG Adviser established the various committees committees which will be responsible for the different concerns in implementing Brigada Eskwela. The composition of the different committees, as well as the roles and tasks, were disseminated and discussed in a Faculty Meeting held on December 18, 2012. The following committees were established: advocacy and marketing, resource mobilization, program implementation, administrative and finance and documentation. The Advocacy and Marketing Committee enlisted the help of the SSG in disseminating information for the upcoming activity. Three (3) tarpaulins were displayed in strategic places around the school area to increase the awareness and interest of the people in the community. Social media like Facebook and Twitter were also tapped as avenues to disseminate information regarding Brigada Eskwela. Donations and pledges were also solicited from other stakeholders to gather enough materials and labor force during the actual implementation of the activity. Various meetings were also conducted to further improve the conduct of the Brigada Eskwela. To ensure maximum participation of students, parents and guardians in the Brigada Eskwela Week, the officer-in-charge and the guidance counselor, Mrs. Babylyn M. Desalesa, urged them to come back to school after the enrolment week.

The SSG assigned the parents and students with specific tasks according to grade/year level. The participants were required to wear uniform. A week prior to the School Maintenance Week, an assessment of school facilities needing repair was conducted by Mr Jaime P. Aralar, the school physical facilities coordinator. After the inspection, the needs of the school were discovered and from there, the school activities in relation to Brigada Eskwela were identified.

B. IMPLEMENTATION STAGE
To formally open the Brigada Eskwela Week, an opening program was conducted on May 27, 2013. During the opening program the Supreme Student Government Officers conducted a role-playing to convince and to encourage the parents and students to actively participate in the said event. The role-paying successfully showed the essence of Brigada Eskwela which is BAYANIHAN in our school. The Supreme Student Government Officers organized among themselves different groups to supervise the conduct of the Brigada Eskwela from Day 1 to the final day of implementation. The day always started with a short program to welcome the participants and to inform them of what was needed to be accomplished for the day. The SSG is also responsible for gathering all the donations and for ensuring that everything is properly documented all throughout the weeklong implementation of the Brigada Eskwela.

C. POST IMPLEMENTATION
The various Brigada Eskwela reports were prepared and submitted to the proper office. The volunteers and doners were thanked through announcements and letters.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Brigada Eskwela should be a year-round endeavor and should further strengthen the partnership between and among the different stakeholders of the school. The preimplementation stage of the activity is very crucial to its success. If properly done, the early advocacy campaign would ensure the participation and commitment of the stakeholders.
