Gonghead This is a giant version of the creature. Do not waste AP on it; just keep attacking. It casts Cure 4 each turn after the first, but runs out of AP quickly. It will only attack you twice at the most.

Hint: Finding Bleu: On the same island as the Thieves Tomb go there. From the Thieves Tomb, go east until you reach the other side of the mountain line. You should see a little whirlwind shape in the sand. Enter here and talk to all the spirits, even the ones in the back rooms. After that, go to Magic school in Hometown and on the second floor talk to the girl on the left in the left classroom. She will turn into Bleu.

After you get the whale, go to the desert at the southeast corner of map. Walk around until you find a faint circle. When you enter it, you will find some ghosts saying Bleu is out. Then, go to the town where you started your game (after you go away, the second town where you and Bow end up). Go to the magic building and talk to all the students. One will say she is Bleu and join you. Bleu starts at level 35 and is very powerful with magic.

Hint: Namada's Strength: Boombada is a powerful Non-Elemental attack, which at 50 AP will reduce any enemy group, short of Bosses, by 50% of the current enemies' HP. However getting this attack is not easy and requires strict timing and rhythm. To get this powerful attack go to Namada after the Grand Chruch at Evari is destroyed. Help the brother at the bells ring to announce prayer time. This is where it gets difficult, as some of the notes of the music sound overlapped but they are not. The brother will ring the high notes and low notes as you ring the Drum (A) and Tuning Fork (B). It sounds complex, but is not. The scale is similar to:

Listen carefully to the way the notes are played and to the starts and stops of the sounds. Hint: Experience for final battle: Just before the final Boss, where the Dragon Statue and Cleansing Water are located, fight any monster and use Gold Dragon. Hint: Maximum attack: There are a few things required to maximize your Attack stat. First, you need the Cafe (the place that you have a woman cook some of your items together to get a new item). This is done by choosing the correct carpenter for Township (your town). The requirement is the Whale, which you will get during the storyline. Go to Guntz, which is located slightly north of the center of the map. Go to the items shop and buy as many ShaveIce as possible, keeping them in multiples of four. Then, go back to the Cafe and have the lady cook a few PwrFood. These raise your attack by 1 point. When you run out of money, go just northwest of Township to the island where there is A Recovery Spring. Get more money there. Note: Sometimes the lady accidentally makes Charcoal instead of the PwrFood.

Hint: Unlimited money: Note: This trick requires two Game Boy Advances, two games and a link cable. Select the best file and put the best item you can spare in the bank (for example, the Shadow Dagger or lots of Herbs). Copy the file and link the Game Boy Advances. Trade the best item from the copy file, but not from the original. Then, erase the copy of the original and repeat entire process. When you have as many items as desired, trade them back and sell them.

Use the following trick for unlimited money after the township upgrade. When you choose your carpenter in Capitan, choose the standard house carpenter from the right most house. He will go to your township and cook any king of ingredients plus build a new set of houses (3). When you get the second set of houses (6), recruit Hanz from Hometown. He will supply you with items. Buy three Cond. Up at 1000 Z each. For a total of 3000 Z, cook it to get the GoldBar that you can sell at 6000 Z. Repeat this as needed to get a lot of money very quickly. Sometimes the cooking produces a charcoal, but it is very rare. Once you have enough money you can spend some to raise your stats. Go back to Hanz and buy two Cond.Up for 2000 Z, then cook them to obtain one Dinker (+1 Agility); or buy two Medicate for 1000 Z, then cook

them to obtain one PwrFood (+1 Strength).

Hunting Tips

When you are hunting, there are two animals that you are able to hunt and get roast from. When you are hunting the deer, use Bow because his crossbow can hit it from a range that Katt can't match. But when you are hunting the boar, use Katt because her speed will be better than Bow's hunting speed. Sometimes, if you are lucky, a bird will fly by and you can hit it with Bow. If you do, you will get and egg. The egg is an item that acts like a Moondrop.

Here are some strategies to help you. There is a hidden island with Bo and Karn from the old Breath of fire with four different types of strong enemies. A.Sludge has 900 hp and can be killed with a death spell every time it hit's him. Gonghead has 1000 hp and casts cure4 2 times then runs out of mp so don't use your magic. Chorking has 25 hp but you only attack it 4 or 5 hp per turn so use item magic to kill it in a single blow. K.Sludge is the hardest and smallest character on this island has 10000 hp. That's right, 10000. So run away unless you have golddragon.

From the beach South of Capitan, head slightly West and North, up around the coastline. Carry on around the coastline, North of Capitan, heading East. When you reach the burnt peninsula signifying Granny's forest, carry on straight East, leaving the coastline. After a while, you should see a beach at the ery top of the screen. Land on it, and you should be on an island with a small house. Bo and Karn from the first game live here. There's also a fishing point to the North where you can find the LoveBR. The main point of Monster Island, however, is the levels. There are four types of monsters. All of them are tough, but give large amounts of exp and money. However, they do have their weaknesses. A.Sludge - A giant green slime. Use Death (Bleu, Nina, Jean). They give you 25404 EXP and 2850 coins. Chorking - This thing only has 25hp, but most of your attacks will damage him for only 1hp. Use an attack item such as the FireRG, or the ChopChop skill. He gives 27100 EXP and 4839 coins. Gonghead - Use Bow's shot or physical attacks once you're strong enough. He has around 900hp, and will cast Cure4 on himself. He gives you 22018 EXP and 3633 coins. G.Sludge - These are very rare (I've seen five in this playthrough), and very powerful. They usually attack in groups of two or three. Use Ryu's Dragon attacks, and whatever else you have. Unforunately, I can't get the exp and gold stats, but it's definitly worth it. These monsters will sometimes drop Extracts and Van.Ext's. These items don't stack, so each

one takes up an inventory slot to themselves. However, Extract's restore all of one characters HP, while Van.Ext's restore 120hp to all characters. Quick save the game at this point, then load and keep playing on your real game file. Do not load the quick save or create a new one at any point during the following. In the battle with the old man, destroy him. Then keep playing through the game. Save your game just before defeating the monster in Gate, and when Valerie asks choose 'Wait' to see the bad ending. Then reload your file, and choose the other option. Complete the game and you'll see the good ending. For some reason, when landing after using the Great Bird, the fishing spots might not be visible. They'll appear after a battle. Go slightly East, and just when the coastline turns to the South, just to the left of the huge mountain range, there's a little patch of land that you couldn't reach on foot. You should still be able to see the very edge of the little beach south of the Township when you're standing there. The mountains are to the right, the ocean to your left. JahAR - Fishing spot north-east of Tagwoods. There's a tiny little valley, which the Great Bird can access. LifeAR - Fishing spot near the cave near Gate. The Life Armor, which is the most powerful armor in the game, can be found northeast of gate in a fishing area. It is right next to the cave.
