Grade 7 parents, please watch your mail for the Accountability Pillar Survey from Alberta Education. This survey provides the opportunity for Alberta Education and school authorities to ensure that we are equipping students for success. The Accountability Pillar uses a set of 16 indicators consisting of surveys of students, parents and teachers on various aspects of quality; student outcomes such as dropout and high school completion rates; and provincial assessments of student learning. All surveys are anonymous and ask questions about experiences with the school. Your participation in the survey helps provide important information on the quality of education your child is receiving, so please complete and return your survey promptly. Pioneer School uses this information to help provide direction for our Three-Year Education plans. As such, your opinion helps set the school's direction. Thank you, in advance, for taking the time to complete the survey. Bobbie-Jo Douglas Principal - Pioneer School
As part of her undergraduate work, a former WRSD student, Tara Neville, along with a colleague and under the instruction of her professor, Dr. Holder, are exploring happiness in children. There are two surveys; one for students and the other for parents. We would greatly appreciate families taking the time to participate in this valuable research. Further information can be found in the attached link. To complete the survey, please go to: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/eoh Bobbie-Jo Douglas PrincipalPioneer School

Your childs safety is our number one priority, and students will not be permitted to leave with anyone that is not on the contact list, unless otherwise arranged by the parent/guardian in advance. ****Note**** All parents and visitors please report to the office and sign in when stopping at the school for any purpose. We need to know whos in the school at all times and this helps to reduce the interruptions of classes. If you have anything that needs to be delivered to your student, please drop these off at the office as well. If you have any questions in regards to this, please contact the school.
BIRTH CERTIFICATES REQUIRED A student, parent/guardian, or custodian is required to present legal proof of a students name, citizenship and birthdate when a child is registered in school. If a student was born in an authority outside of Canada, an official document from that authority will be accepted. If this documentation has not yet been provided to the school, we request you have this in by the end of January. We are required to have a copy of all students birth certificates on file. The parent/guardian requesting the birth certificate must have one piece of identification (their own birth certificate, drivers license or passport). Once ordered, it will take approximately two weeks to arrive.
