    Acoustic Consultant WSP Acoustics Working as an acoustic consultant for over two years and five years in the audio technology field, Matthew is passionate about his career as a professional acoustic consultant. His broad ranging experience includes working in the many aspects of consultancy for building and architectural acoustics, auralisation, planning applications, environmental studies, PA and VA system design. Matthew is involved in each step of the engineering practice from the initial client inquiry and field measurements, to consultation and report writing. He is familiar with relevant industry standards and keeps up to date with current issues within the field. In the last two years Matthew has worked on many projects from large-scale international rail networks and infrastructures to small independent residential developments. Matthew strives to expand his skills in such an exciting and ever changing industry.

    2013 SOAS Southampton University Atrium Investigate speech intelligibility for occupants of large renovated atrium creating a 3D model to simulate the Lombard effect of crown noise. Provide advice on minimum acoustic absorption levels to ensure speech intelligibility between occupants is acceptable. 2013 Barclays, 1 Churchill Place Office design Create 3D model to predict speech privacy and assess room acoustic limitations. Provide consultation for performance of building services and architectural finishes to achieve appropriate acoustic environment.
