way, really set them apart from other cultures.

themselves and how living with others. If you do not want to look like a rude or

always better displayed with a good smile. In public, and particularly on public
transport, people avoid making eye contact with strangers. Most people either read
or look towards the ground slightly rather than at peoples faces. People in England
find it uncomfortable if they feel as though someone is watching them.
The elegance is reflected mainly in traditions, customs and etiquette encompassing
many activities known in many parts of the world.
We will describe some of the most elegant English habits that they have been
made for a long time:
"Afternoon Tea"
This custom was originated in the ultimate expression of elegance for the UK : the
monarchy.
In 1662 King Charles II marries Portuguese princess Catherine of Braganza, a
large consumer of tea, which becomes fashionable infusion in the British court. But
it is not until the early nineteenth century when it seems that the custom of tea
time, the invention of which we attribute it to the Duchess of Bedford, who felt faint
and ordered to serve a cup of tea with a light meal is set before dinner. The
invention as well sat the Duchess began to gather your friends around the
afternoon tea, which served the drink accompanied by cakes and sandwiches,
getting popular the "Afternoon Tea".
The tea is part of everyday life of the islands and a good cup of tea can solve all
times when you do not know what to say, sudden attacks of hunger, emergency
situations where you do not know what to do, in these and other situations, a cup
of tea is always welcome.
Tea time is accompanied by the usual small bread sandwiches of cucumber,
watercress and egg, salmon and cream, roast beef and mustard, and cheese and
tomato. Some sort of cake like coffee cake or glazed nuts and cakes , and the
famous " scones " , accompanied by a few bagels strawberries or raspberry jam
and clotted cream excels literally clotted cream County native served in the sweet
section Devon , the creaminess is among the cream and butter and once proven ,

literature.
The most common activities of the British during the free time are homely or social.
Watching television and videos, listen to the radio and walking are in general the
most popular hobbies.
For adults, the most common activity is to visit the pubs. Another popular activity
for free time includes theater and cinema. The United Kingdom also has 300
theaters, 100 of which are in London. The most famous theater company in the UK
, The Royal Shakespeare Company, comes in Stratford-upon- Avon, birthplace of
Shakespeare, and London.
The UK publishes nearly 206,000 books each year, making it the largest publisher
of books in the mundo.198 Scotland's capital, Edinburgh, was declared a "City of
Literature" by the UNESCO.
Currently, there are several art institutions in the UK, of which several art
movements and artists in their field have emerged. Among these are the Royal
Academy, the Royal College of Art, the Royal Society of Arts and the Tate Gallery.
In addition, within its borders are several museums and galleries internationally
recognized as the British Museum, the National Gallery in London, the National
Gallery of Scotland, the Science Museum in London and the Yorkshire Museum.
Conclusion

The nation's cultural diversity has been increased by migration within the British
Isles and by immigration from Europe and overseas this development has taken
great time to be polished, but has done it successfully because many of the
customs and habits in the UK are made in other nations because their influence
has reached various countries.
The art and culture of a country like England shape and determine, to a large
extent, the very identity of that place. To experience this aspect of England, one
immerses themselves in its people, places, and the unique elements that define it.
It is impressive as a culture determines a country and in the case of the UK is even
more, and why? In this region there not a constitution, although they are governed
by moral laws or regulations to take an order, however the custom prevails and is
very important for its governance.
The details of this culture have also added value to the development of the
economy because the qualities of the society and its habits make the United
Kingdom an attractive place to visit and join for a little while British life style.
The culture of the United Kingdom is undoubtedly one of the most developed and
influential in the world, this culture have contributed in various aspects such as
literature and art in general, these customs are now making an impact and promise
to continue in the future generations. United Kingdom is, indeed, a land of great
artistic and cultural import, providing locals and visitors alike with a fabulous insight
