Employees staying at these hotels at company expense are ambassadors and representatives of Carnival
Cruise Lines and, therefore, your dress, grooming and personal hygiene affect both the publics impression of
the business and internal morale. This includes conducting yourself in a professional manner & dressing
appropriately when in the Public Areas of the hotel including the lobby, restaurant, gym and pool area.
SMOKING IN HOTELS: Hotels are non-smoking and you will be responsible for any fine/penalty levied by the
hotels, if you smoke in the room. Please ask the front desk for the designated smoking areas in the hotels.
Hotel stay - Meals are included with your hotel stay; see the hotel front desk clerk for the meal vouchers.
Incidentals such as movies & videos, phone calls, mini bar, internet etc. are not covered.
Airline tickets will be delivered to the hotel, check with the front desk clerk. Be ready in the lobby, as indicated
on the Final Assignment List in the Lobby and the shuttle bus will take you to the port or airport. If your name is
not on the list, call the Shipboard Human Resources department immediately at (305) 406-4649 or 1-888-8717150.
Final Ship Assignment - Upon arrival at the hotel, check the bulletin board or binder in the Hotel Lobby
for the sign-on ship list or ask the front desk clerk if unable to locate. This list will confirm your sign-on
date and final ship assignment. Keep in mind that the ship on the employment letter or any request submitted,
is subject to change due to company needs. If the list is not available, call Carnival Cruise Lines at (305) 4064649 or 1-888-871-7150.
Arrival Confirmation - At least 21 days prior to the scheduled arrival date you will need to confirm your arrival
by e-mail at [email protected] or via the manning agent. On the email include your name, Crew ID
number, position, arrival date and arrival city as per your airline ticket. Keep a copy of the e-mail reply for
your records and also bring it with you when you return.
Crew Data Sheet The passport, medical, and data sheet will be collected when you board. Please have all
documents ready when you leave the hotel. Do not pack these documents in your suitcase.
Medical exam The medical must be performed in your home country by the company designated physician &
facility. It is your responsibility to maintain a valid medical and have all the medical tests done as required by
Carnival Cruise Lines. The medical should be valid for a minimum of 6 months as of the sign on date for team
members in a tipped position or 8 months for those in a non tipped position. The physical cannot be performed
more than six weeks prior to your scheduled sign-on date. Please bring 3 copies of the medical form to the ship.
English Standard All new hires need to bring a copy of their Marlins English Language Test Score Sheet with
them when they sign-on, and present it to the Training & Development Manager (Corporate Training
Department) onboard.
Passport & Visa Requirements - Your PASSPORT and C1/D visa must be valid for at least 1 year from
scheduled sign-on date. If you arrive with an expired passport or C1/D visa, or if they are due to expire within 1
year, you will be sent home at your own expense. Please verify that the embassy issues you a C1/D multiple
entry visa. All other types of visas will NOT allow you to work on a vessel.
U.S. citizens must travel with a passport. A C1/D visa is not necessary for United States Citizens, Alien
Resident Card Holders, Canadians and/or Canadian Residents.

Luggage We suggest you travel light with 1 bag plus a small carry-on due to certain luggage fees which
airlines may levy on travelers. With this in mind, we suggest you bring some US funds with you to cover these
costs.
Lost Luggage In the unfortunate event your luggage is lost when flying into the USA; please make a claim
with the airline. In addition, you should give the Carnival Cruise Lines address for delivery (see below) and
include your crew ID number on your luggage tags so it can be sent to the ship you are scheduled to sign-on.
Upon boarding, please let the Manager of Staff Administration (MSA) know of your lost luggage & provide copies
of forms so he/she can assist you. When the luggage is lost when flying home, please give your home address
in your country of residence.
