Recruitment of Lab Assistant (Chemistry) trainee

Applications are invited for Lab Assistant (Chemistry) trainees for its projects located in
the state of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala as:

LAB ASSISTANT (CHEMISTRY) TRAINEES : 22 Nos

TRAINING, EMOLUMENTS & PLACEMENT:
Selected candidates will undergo training for a period of 01 (one) year at various NTPC
sites and will be paid a consolidated stipend of Rs.11,500/- per month. On successful
completion of training, these candidates will be absorbed in the pay scale of Rs. 115003%-26000/-(W3 Grade). The final place of posting will be allocated after successful
completion of the training.

Full time regular B.Sc with Chemistry (Chemistry must be one of the
subjects) / Graduate in Industrial / Applied Chemistry.

Note: Only those candidates who acquired requisite qualification in year 2014
or earlier are eligible to apply. All qualifications should be from recognized
Indian Institutes and approved by statutory authority.

SELECTION PROCESS:
Eligible candidates will have to undergo two hours objective type written test. Based on
the merit and requirement, the list of successful candidates for appearing in interview
will be made available at www.ntpccareers.net and communication will be sent to such
candidates. All such short listed candidates will have to appear for Personal Interview,
which will have minimum qualifying marks.
TEST CENTERS:
Candidates have to choose a city as Test Centre from the list of test centers at the time
of online registration and change for test centre under any circumstance will not be
considered subsequently. However, NTPC reserves the right to cancel or add any centre
depending on the response of the candidates for that area / center.
ABOUT WRITTEN TEST:
The Written Test is scheduled to be held on 09.08.2015 (Sunday). The test can be
taken in Hindi or English. Candidates will have to give their choice for appearing in Hindi
or English at the time of applying for the post, which cannot be changed subsequently.
The test will be in two parts. Part-I will be Knowledge Test and will consist of 70
multiple-choice questions on chemistry subject. Part-II will be Aptitude Test and will
consist of 50 multiple-choice questions on English, Quantitative aptitude & Reasoning.
There is a separate qualifying mark for each part.

RESERVATIONS AND RELAXATIONS:

Reservations and relaxations for SC / OBC (non-creamy layer) / XSM / PWD

(degree of disability 40% or above) candidates will be provided as per
Government guidelines.

Category once filled in the online application form will not be changed and no
benefit of other category will be admissible later on.

No registration fee will be charged from SC / ST / PWD candidates.

The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC candidates, 3 years for OBC
(Non-Creamy Layer) candidates. It is relaxed by 10 years for PWD-General, 13
years for PWD-OBC & 15 years for PWD-SC as on 15.06.2015.

In case of Ex-serviceman, the age shall be within the upper age limit prescribed
for specific category he/she belongs to, after deducting the number of years of
service in defense with additional 3 Yrs relaxation.

The OBC candidates who belong to Creamy Layer are not entitled for OBC
concession and such candidates have to indicate their category as General. The
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates are required to submit requisite certificate
in prescribed format of Government of India, from a competent authority issued
in the current financial year i.e. after April2015.

Upper age is relaxed by 5 years for the candidates who had ordinarily been
domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir from 01.01.80 to 31.12.89.

In order to rationalize the number of candidates to be called for interview, if

required, the management reserves the right to raise / relax the minimum
qualifying standards / criteria of written test.

SERVICE AGREEMENT BOND:

The selected candidates will be required to execute a service agreement bond of Rs
50,000/- (General and OBC) and Rs 25,000/-for SC/ST/PWD to serve the company for a
minimum period of 3 years after completion of training.
HEALTH:
The candidate should have sound health. Before joining, candidates will have to undergo
medical examination by NTPC Medical Board and the decision of the board will be final
and binding. Appointment will be subject to meeting the medical norms prescribed by
the Company. No relaxation in medical norms is allowed. Detailed medical norms are
available on the website.

functional from 10:00 hours of 25.05.2015_to midnight of_15.06.2015. No
other means / mode of application shall be accepted. NTPC will not be
responsible for bouncing back of any email sent to the candidate. Eligible
candidates are advised to go through guidelines for online apply uploaded on
the website before starting registration process.

Candidate belonging to General / OBC category is required to pay a nonrefundable registration fee of Rs 300/-. The SC/ ST/ PWD/XSM candidates need
not to pay the registration fee.

State Bank of India has been authorized to collect the registration fee, in a
specially opened account number (A/C NO. 30987919993) at CAG branch
(Branch Code: 09996), New Delhi, on behalf of NTPC. Candidate has to approach
the nearby SBI branch with a printout of the "challan"/ pay-in-slip which will be
generated during online registration process. The challan/ pay-in-slip printed
from the portal should only be used for depositing the fee for proper crediting of
amount in the allocated account. On receipt of the money, the bank will issue a
unique Journal Number and a Branch Code of the bank collecting the money.
This journal number and the branch code are to be filled up by the
candidate during online registration. Bank commission charges will be
borne by the candidate. In case the candidate deposits the fee in a wrong
account, NTPC will not be responsible. There will not be any other mode of
money collection. Registration fee deposited after 15.06.2015 will not be valid.

Scanned copies of photograph, signature, university degree /provisional

degree certificate and pay-in-slip (for General/ OBC category candidates) are
required to be uploaded while applying online.

Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Candidates are
therefore requested to verify their eligibility before paying the application fee.

All successfully enrolled candidates will be allowed to download the admit card
from the website. Please note that the admit card will not be sent by
post.

The admit card indicating roll number, name of the allocated test center and
guidelines for the test will be made available on the same website to the
candidates found apparently eligible based on the online data. The candidate has
to down load his/her Admit card for appearing in the test from the website.
Admit cards will not be sent by post.

Candidates are advised to keep the e-mail ID which is to be entered compulsorily

in the online application form active for at least one year. No change in the email ID will be allowed once entered. All future correspondence would be sent
via E-mail only. In case a candidate does not have a valid personal E-mail ID, he
/ she should create his / her new E-mail ID before applying on-line.

Request for change of mailing address or E-mail ID will not be entertained under
any circumstances.

Candidates employed with Government Departments / PSUs / Autonomous

Bodies have to produce No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of
Interview. Please note that without NOC, such candidates will not be allowed to
appear in the interview.

information regarding schedule of written test, downloading admit card, result of
written test, schedule of interview, medical standards etc.

The issue of an admit card or result notification to appear in the written test /
interview / medical fitness test or the fact of having passed these tests or having
been placed on the final merit list will not be a proof of any candidates selection.
Candidature will be purely provisional subject to eligibility and other verifications
before or after appointment. The onus of ensuring that candidate meets all the
eligibility requirements will rest on the candidate himself / herself all through the
recruitment process. Candidates will be allowed to appear in written test /
interview / medical fitness test purely on provisional basis and no candidate will
have a right to appointment or any compensation only on the ground of having
appeared in or passed the written or any other screening test.

Any proceedings in respect of any matter of claim or dispute arising out of this
advertisement and / or an application in response thereto can be instituted only
in the district of Hyderabad of Telangana and courts / tribunals / forums in the
district of Hyderabad of Telangana only shall have sole and exclusive jurisdiction
to try any such cause / dispute.
