Child Directed Fun
Thank you for choosing our summer program to entertain your
child(ren)! We are looking forward to getting to know your
child(ren) this summer! This year the children and staff have
planned a very exciting program filled with many activities,
adventures and fun to be had in our community and area.
Please review the following documents and information for more
details and important dates.

Dear Parents/ Guardians:


During the summer program we ask that
parents/guardians provide their child(ren) with the
following supplies to ensure that they are having as much
fun as possible. Please ensure that all items are label.
Please supply:
1. Back pack
2. Water bottle
3. Change of clothes
4. Swim suit
5. Towel
6. Sandals and running shoes
7. Hat
8. Sun block or Bug Spray (your choice as to which one)
9. Sun glasses (optional)
10. Lunches (with healthy choices from the Canada Food
Guide)
Please pay close attention to our calendar for
scheduled swimming and picnics dates to ensure
your child has everything he/she needs!
*Please note that the Boys and Girls Club is a nut free
zone*
**Please remember to label all your childs items/
belongings*
***Please know that we will only allow nutritious healthy
foods and snacks at the program as we are promoting
healthy living.
Please provide a picnic lunch on the following days:

*A picnic lunch should consist of food that does not need to be heated up and can be eaten
at the park.

A Few Other Reminders For Parents
-Please hand in family poster in by July 7th, 2015 -Please have all
bake sale items brought to the club on August 17 th.
-If you would like to volunteer for one of our field trips, feel free to
let us know.
-All families are asked to do one bingo per child during the months
of July and August.

The Summer Program Children will participate in:


Bench Program: A program that is run by volunteers in the
community who tell/read stories to the children on the benches in
the community.
Public Swimming: The children go to the St.Paul Aquatic Centre
to use their swimming facility.
Community Garden: The children contribute to the community
by taking care of the garden by planting, water, and weeding it.
Library: The children go to the St.Paul Municipal Library to read,
be read to, or participate in programming in the Library.
Go Summer Reading Program: This is a library program that
encourages learning for children through reading with fun
activities and crafts.
We will be visiting several parks within the community with your
child. If needed, you can pick your child up at field trips or parks.
