(Ideas crowdsourced over the past six months)
I'm still open to ideas, issues etc. so this list is
never complete and non-exhaustive.

1. Reinstate the beds at Bush respite centre that were cut and
ringfence funding for the service.
2. Stop the metrobust project
3. St Paul's carnival will receive the funding it requires and WILL
happen in 2016
4. Bring the buses back into public ownership and all
infrastructure
5. Stop BCC selling off our council houses
6. Bring empty buildings in Bristol back into community use
through compulsory purchase orders
7. Introduce rent caps
8. All landlords operating in Bristol MUST sign up to Acorns
ethical lettings charter
9. Halt all further roll-out of RPZs across Bristol.
10. Open Bristol Green capital accounts for full transparency on
how OUR money was spent
11. Release the full 10 million pounds gained from selling off the
port (public asset) to community groups across Bristol.

12. If elected mayor I will take a significant pay cut and give the
money saved from wage to 'homeless and housing help' fund
13. Introduce 'universal basic income' for ALL Bristolians
14. Build more council housing for people not profit
15. Introduce online regular referendums (direct democracy)
16. Stop giving bosses at BCC 20% pay rises
17. Keep public libraries open and fully funded
18. Oppose all cuts set by central government and set a needs
budget
19. If more than 70% of councillors oppose something the mayor
is proposing, it can be quashed
20. Reign in service directors and officers at BCC's control over
policy setting.
21. Stop persecution of street traders - free trade zones for all
Bristolians - Bring back the nails! Bring in Bristolians trader
permits.
22. Stop cutting down inner city trees.
23. Use empty buildings in Bristol to make 'transformation
centres' where people struggling can rebuild their lives.
24. Introduce oyster card style system on all public transport

25. Introduce the 'right to recall' at BCC if and when politicians


say one thing and then do the other - improved accountability
26. Review the 20mph in Bristol - scrap where not needed - keep
where it improves public safety.
27. Blue badge holders can park freely throughout Bristol
28. Sandwich provision at council meetings shall be provided for
all attendees, not just councillors and BCC staff.
29. No more hotels to be built in BS1, there is enough already
30. Build a park and ride scheme at the end of the m32 to
reduce congestion in Bristol
31. Introduce a new Bristol tax on corporations trading in our
city, with tax gained given to small start-up businesses started by
Bristolians
32. Secure and increase funding for mental health provision in
Bristol.
33. Make every day special for Bristolians - 'Make Sunday special'
will be cancelled and front line essential services given funding
instead.
34. Keep a young and innovative workforce attracted to Bristol,
protecting our Economy through our Culture.

35. Give Bristolians referendum on whether Bristol continues with


elected mayor, put pressure on central government to bring
referendum. I'd like to see it within a year of my office as mayor.
36. Prioritise people fleeing domestic abuse for housing. Full
council agreed on it at last meeting. Time to take action on it.
37. Rename the Colston Hall based on popular vote of Bristolians
38. Once debt is paid off for financing RPZ, Residents of Bristol
will receive 1 free parking permit per household.
39. As mayor I will have 50/50 male/female cabinet.
40. Devolve decision making to local communities - grass roots
not top down!
41. All healthcare workers to be given free parking permits
throughout Bristol to give the people they care for the service
they deserve.
42. Scrap the arena project and build much needed homes on so
called 'Arena Island' instead
43. Bristol City Council to cease dealings with any company that
is using or has used 'blacklisting'
44. Implement 35 hour week (with a long term plan for a 30 hour
week) for all council staff immediately with all staff finishing at
2.30pm on Friday.
