Lead the Research Division at GIC which resulted from the merger of two
divisions, Economics and Strategy Division and GCC Equity Division: April
27, 2014-October 2014..
Lead the GIC Counterpart Team in the Joint Study with The Conference
Board (TCB) on Leading and Coincidental Economic Indicators for the GCC
Economies.
Lead the GIC-TCB Study on GCC-CEOs Challenge 2013 and 2014. This is the
first joint collaboration effort with The Conference Board in the GCC Region
to survey GCC CEOs regarding challenges they encounter.
Director of the Joint study between the GIC and the Federation of GCC
Chambers (FGGC) on Enhancing the Role of the Private Sector in the GCC
Economies February-2013-Present.
Member of The Global Market Committee, Global and Regional Investment
Committee and, the Principle Investment Committee. The Committees review
economic & financial trends and policies, assess projects & recommend timely
investments across sectors, niches, and space.
Advise Management on emerging developments in Global and Regional
Economies & Commodity Markets and assess ramifications to the GCC
economies, equity and fixed income markets.

Trained students and mid-management professionals in several countries
including the United States, Canada, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, the West
Bank and Gaza and Yemen. Training topics included energy economics,
macroeconomics and fiscal policies; micro-data management in the areas of
energy demand, the nexus between economic growth-oil price volatility,
education-labor market nexus and budget surveys and poverty reduction
strategies.
Methods of training ranged from formal teaching courses to on-the-job
training techniques. For example, the theory of microeconomics and
applications were taught to managers of Pacific Bell during 1993-1995.

Classes were designed in association with San Francisco State University


and American River College and were part of a special MA program for
middle-managers at the Pacific Bell Company.
