OBJECTIVES
At the end of this lesson, the students or learners should be able to
1. Investigate the relationship between the amount of force applied and the mass of the object to
the amount of change in the objects motion
2. Participate actively in all the given class activities.

LEARNING PROCEDURES
A. MOTIVATION (3 minutes)
Place a ball on top of the teachers table and ask
a. Will this object move by itself?
b. How can we make this object move?

c. While it is moving, how can we make the object speed up or slow down?
d. How can we make it to stop?
e. How can we make it change its direction?
B. LESSON PROPER
1. Using the ball on the table, ask students to describe or demonstrate how they can achieve
the given conditions above until they will be able to realize that to make the ball met these
condition, FORCE must be applied. (10 min)
2. Place again the ball on top of the table and ask the students or learners if since it is at rest,
can we say that there is/are no force/s acting on it? (1 min)
3. Unlock/explain technical words such as magnitude, direction, point of application, and line
of action. (6 min)
4. Teacher will demonstrate activity 1 p. 5-6 of their module. (5 min)
5. Post lab discussion (15 min)
6. Play a video clip on balanced and unbalanced forces followed by a post video clip
discussion. ( 15 min)
C. GENERALIZATION
Have students do a Journal reflection. This will also serve as their assessment.
ASSESSMENT
Ask students to write their reflections about the lesson, such as what they learned, what caused them
difficulty, or the strategies they found helpful in understanding the lesson. (5 min)
ASSIGNMENT
How are two or more forces added or combined?
In terms of magnitude of forces, when do we say that forces are balanced? Unbalanced?
