MEASUREMENTS
Body Measurements

Directions: Use a tape measure to measure different parts of your body. Write each
measurements to the nearest millimetre and centimetre.

1. Measure the part of your hand (radius) shown in the figure at the right and

compare it with the length of your foot.


2. Compare the length around the wrist to the length around the base of the thumb.

Do your classmates get the same result?


3. Compare the length around your neck to the length around your waist. Do your

classmates get the same result?


4. Compare the length around your wrist to the length around your neck. Do your

classmates get the same result?


5. Take the other body measurement and discover other predictable relationships.

Then test these relationships on others.
