    NICOP / SNICOP

    S-NICOP (Smart - National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis) is a registration document to be issued
    to a valid/legitimate citizen of Pakistan. Previously it was issued to overseas Pakistanis
    working/living/staying/studying abroad for consecutive time period of six months or possessing dual
    nationalities but now it can be issued to any citizen of Pakistan.

    Appointment System

    Applications for NICOPs and Smart NICOPs are processed on appointment based system. Applicant first
    takes appointment and comes on the given date / time for final application process (appointment
    remains valid for the given date and time only). Each individual must have separate appointment for his
    application processing.

    NRC Doha (Qatar) Office timings

    Application Processing from Sunday to Thursday (only applicants


    0800 to 1200 hours
    with already having appointments)
    Collection of NICOPs / SNICOPs / POCs from Sunday to Thursday 1300 to 1500 hours
    Issuance of Appointments/ Queries / Rejections Dealing etc. from
    1300 to 1500 hours
    Sunday to Thursday

    Note: Fee is directly submitted into the bank counter located in the Embassy and the submitted remains valid for the
    same date only. In case, if application is not processed due to any reason, applicant should take back his deposited
    amount on the same date.

    POC

    The POC program endeavors to provide eligible foreigners with unprecedented incentives to get back to
    their roots, while ensuring that the motherland remains tightly integrated with expatriates worldwide which
    includes

    Visa-free entry into Pakistan.


    Indefinite stay in Pakistan.
    Exemption from foreigner registration requirements.
    Permission to purchase and sell property.
    Right to open and operate bank accounts.

    POC Application Process (Form


    Based)

    Detailed Application Procedure


    Completely filled forms are received at all NADRA Registration Centers inland/abroad and
    Pakistan Embassies/Consulates abroad.
    Officials at booking counter see the original documents and attach attested copies with FORM.
    Applicant provides Bank Receipt/draft for payment proof of POC processing fee and a NADRA
    receipt is issued. One leaf of NADRA receipt is attached with FORM.
    Forms along with all required documents are dispatched to NADRA HQ.
    After processing and printing, cards are dispatched from HQ to NRC.
    Rejections (if any) are informed to concerned offices.

    Documentation Requirements

    Complete POC Form (must be filled in black ink and capital letters).
    2 photographs. (ICAO Standard), with white background or light blue.
    Bank Draft/Bank Receipts for Fees payment on account of POC processing and CNIC/NICOP
    Cancellation(if applicable)
    Renunciation letter/Affidavit of Ex-Pakistani having CNIC/NICOP(renunciation letter in case of
    dual status country)
    Copy of Foreign passport (non-expired)
    Marriage Certificate of Married Applicants attested by Pak Mission /Foreign Office
    At least 1 proof of Pakistani origin:
    Copy of self CNIC/NICOP/MNIC/Pakistani Passport

    OR

    CNIC/NICOP copy of any of living relative (parents/grandparents/spouse) and a document to show link
    with that relative like copy of birth certificate, marriage certificate, property document or educational
    documents. Copy of MNIC/POC/Pakistani Passport is also acceptable for cases wherein eligibility of
    applicant is proved through.

    Note: English translation will be required if document is not in English/Urdu In case of doubt, any supporting
    document may be demanded.
